MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – An Ohio woman is searching for the good Samaritan who helped her family at the scene of a car accident when she was a young child.

Eighteen-year-old Maddie Williams tells The Tennessean that she was four when her family was in a serious accident in June 2002 near Millersville, which is about 15 miles north of Nashville. Williams’ mother died in the car crash, and Williams’ brother was seriously injured.

Hoping to thank the bystander who took her out of the car and held her, Williams recently posted a public Facebook status that has since had thousands of shares.

Williams says she has since heard from emergency responders who were at the scene, but there have been no leads on the man’s name or where he is from.
