HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The Gold Star Wives will host the 2013 “Wreaths Across America” on Saturday, December 14 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, 5817 Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville.
The Gold Star Wives, spouses of veterans who have lost their lives serving in the military, have raised the funds to purchase the Balsam Fir wreaths for the graves.
A veteran’s service and ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. but family members of a veteran interred at the cemetery may arrive at 10:30 to place a wreath on a grave site. Family members and friends of veterans along with volunteers are expected to lay 1,900 wreaths with one placed on each grave site in the cemetery.
