Glenda Marie Rodgers Johnston, age 71, died Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Skyline Medical Center, in Nashville. She was born July 31, 1942 in Hollywood, CA, to the late Freeman Stuart Rodgers and Cornelia M. Rodgers.
She attended New Providence Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Parklane Church of the Nazarene.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 2 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Tom Kelly officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Richard Holmes Johnston; three sons, Michael David Johnston, Roger Lamar Johnston, and Richard Stuart Johnston; one daughter, Kimberly Leigh Bearden; one brother, Boyd Lamar Rodgers; one sister, Gloria Jean Rodgers; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
