Gladys May Haynes, age 94, of Montgomery County, TN passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at her residence.
Gladys was born May 2, 1927, in Clarksville, TN to the late Thurman Suiter and Sara Elizabeth York. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Oneal Haynes; son, Donald Oneal Haynes; two brothers, Lloyd Floyd, Donald Floyd; and one great-granddaughter, Chelsey Herrell.
Mrs. Haynes was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and nanny. She was also a loving wife for 73 years.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 3, at 3 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating.
Gladys is survived by her daughters, Sara (Phillip) Arms, Patsy (Darnell) Black and Diane (Charles) Edwards; Daughter-in-law, Brenda Haynes; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be; Phil Arms, Tommy Arms, Stanley Arms, Billy Haynes, David Edwards, and Brandon Bluedorn.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tennessee Quality Hospice especially Karen and Kayda, for their wonderful care with Gladys during her final days.
