Women struggling to make a life changing choice now have a new advocate standing beside them. Clarksville’s newest community organization, Voice of Choice, is a pro woman, pro infant group dedicated to empowering women facing unplanned pregnancies. By raising awareness about options and meeting practical needs the organization seeks to empower pregnant moms on all their choices and the potential impact their decisions have on the rest of their life.

“Our mission is to connect with women who believe abortion may be their only option,” explain Hannah Price, founder and director of Voice of Choice. “We provide them with the support and resources to make a different decision, should they desire.”

voice of change

Voice of Choice benefits moms and families that face unplanned pregnancies. They provide the support many moms need but don’t have; from rent, groceries, baby supplies, to obtaining insurance. Voice of Choice helps mothers of all ages get connected with financial aid programs, affordable childcare, affordable housing, and more. If adoption is the on the table, the organization is ready with a the necessary resources to assist the parents. Hannah adds, “We will stop at nothing to help give moms what they need during their motherhood journey, before and after the baby is born!”

Voice of Choice was started after Hannah’s first child was born in 2018. “It was the most wonderful day of my life. I am so grateful to have a good support system, but the reality is, many moms don’t. My heart is for those moms. There is big divide when it comes to the topic of abortion, a lot of hate and many agendas. The moms that need help get lost in the middle. Voice of Choice was created for those moms. Many moms facing an unplanned pregnancy are wondering, ‘How am I going to do this?’, VOC exist to help with the how.”

On Friday, November 15, the organization will hold a black-tie fundraising event. The inaugural ALIVE 2019 will support Voice of Choice and their initiatives. Event will be held at the Belle Hollow in Clarksville. Ticket includes dinner, dessert, drinks, a live auction, and a silent auction. Guest speaker, Claire Culwell, will share her empowering story.

Culwell is a self-described abortion survivor. When Culwell’s mother was 13-years-old she performed a late term abortion while pregnant with twins. Culwell is the surviving twin of that experience. She describes her inspiring story and gives hope to other young woman.
