It may be cold out there, but the action is about to heat up inside F&M Bank Arena! The Austin Peay State University men’s basketball team has back-to-back Thursday and Friday noon home games this week, thanks to the incoming winter storm.
On Thursday, the Govs face Florida Gulf Coast University for “Throwback Thursday” at noon. APSU then hosts Stetson University at noon on Friday.
The Govs opened last week’s action with a 74-72 victory against rival Eastern Kentucky on Thursday, but then took an 82-78 loss at Lipscomb on Saturday, which ended the Govs’ ASUN-best seven-game winning streak.
The team is now 11-6 overall, 5-1 in the ASUN Conference.
What’s next for the Govs
Following Friday’s game, the Govs again face Eastern Kentucky, this time in Richmond, at 6 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 28.

APSU students are allowed one ticket with a valid APSU ID, and military with a valid I.D. are allowed two tickets per I.D. A limited number of tickets will be available for pickup at the entrance when doors open an hour before tipoff. Make sure that you have your APSU or military I.D. Clear bags are required. Active-duty military and veterans’ first beer at APSU basketball games will also be covered by APSU Athletics.
