A Celebration of Life service for Gertrud Derico, age 80, of Clarksville, TN, will be Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Sykes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Gertrud was born in Czechoslovakia on January 23, 1943, to Josef and Teresa Reinl who preceded her in death. She passed away on August 7, 2023. Gertrud loved spending time with her family and was skilled in sewing and crocheting. However, she was best at being the boss of the family. She never forgot a birthday and kept everyone in line.
Gertrud is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jim Derico; children: Dieter (Kirsten) Reinl, James (Dawna) Derico, and Jeffrey (Sonja) Derico; grandchildren: Melanie Reinl, Kerstin Reinl, Rebecca (Alex) Derico-Snow, and Cory (Curissa) Garrett; and several great-grandchildren.
