Gary Wayne Jones, age 78, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on August 26, 1938, a son of John Wesley Jones and Velma Poole Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Barbara Balthrop Jones.
He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Starr Page (Terry) of Clarksville; two sons, Steve Jones of Murfreesboro and Alan Jones of Clarksville; a sister, Betty Ladd (Bobby) of Clarksville; a brother, Donnie Jones (Dot) of Ashland City; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a dear friend and loving companion, Peggy Hudson.
Gary was employed by WJZM Radio in his early working career, and later in the music industry with Show Biz, Inc., and The Tame Agency. He also worked as a car salesperson.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private Celebration of Life service will be held in the near future.
