Gambill to serve as Chamber President for another term

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that Katie Gambill, President and General Manager of 5 Star Radio Group and Clarksvillenow.com, will return as Chairman for the remainder of the current term through June 2015.

Gambill steps in for Jeff Truitt, who resigned as Chairman in August after taking on the role as Chief of Staff with Montgomery County Government.

“Katie did an excellent job leading the Chamber during the 2013-2014 term and we are looking forward to being under her leadership for another year,” said Chamber Executive Director Melinda Shepard.

Tommy Bates, Legend’s Bank, will remain in the Vice-Chair position and is scheduled to take over July 1, 2015.

Each fiscal year the Chamber elects new Board officials, with the fiscal year running from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015. The Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Ex-Officio members of the Board attend quarterly meetings, provide direction for Chamber staff and volunteers, and manage the finances of the Chamber.
