CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Goodwill’s longtime retail store at 1596 Fort Campbell Blvd. will be converted into an outlet selling all clothing and home goods for 99 cents.

The facility, which opened in 1996 and is one of three Goodwill stores in Clarksville, will make the change on Monday, Jan. 1. Goodwill already has a 99 cent outlet in Hendersonville and another outlet that sells merchandise by the pound in Nashville.

“Our 99 cent outlet in Hendersonville has been extremely successful. Because of the overwhelmingly positive feedback from our shoppers, we have been looking for opportunities to add a second one,” Goodwill’s President and CEO Matthew Bourlakas said in a press release. “In Clarksville, where we have three retail stores in close proximity, it made sense to convert one into a 99 cent outlet.”

Goodwill’s outlets provide a “second chance” for merchandise that does not sell quickly in its more than 30 retail stores or on its auction website.

Hours at the new Goodwill 99 cent outlet will be 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday. The site’s Goodwill Donation Express Center will remain open and follow the same schedule, except it will open at 8 a.m. on weekdays. The 99 cent outlet’s phone number is (931) 645-2310.
