CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Highs this week will hover around freezing, and the week could be capped with a few inches of snow on Friday.

All week, the highs will be around 32 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. The lows will be in the teens, with Wednesday’s low hitting 14 degrees.

The forecast calls for a 60% chance of snow Friday afternoon. AccuWeather is predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow. The NWS says their confidence in an accumulating snow of 1 inch or greater is medium (50-60%) at this point. The forecast will become more clear as the week continues.

“There is growing confidence in an accumulating snowfall on Friday and Friday night,” the NWS said. “While we don’t expect a major winter storm, we can tell you that there is a 50-60% chance of at least 1″ of snow across all of Middle Tennessee at week’s end.”
