CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Friends of the Library in-person Used Book Sales had to be canceled this year, but there is an online solution for those looking to help the library and add to their own collections.
You can order specially curated book/video collections for $11 by following the link here. Items in each bag have been selected by genre, for example, Murder Mysteries, Science Fiction, or Children’s videos. Each curated collection will contain at least eight items and will include the Friends tote bag to keep, according to a news release.
Other categories will include Travel, Cooking, History, DIY, Easy Readers, and more.
After you purchase a bag online through Eventbrite, print off the ticket that is produced and bring that to the library. A staff member will then allow you to select from available categories to receive your bag. You will not be able to swap out items in the bag, the release said.
Friends of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Library is a nonprofit that support the local library. The Friends help supplement the cost of many of the library’s programs to include Summer Reading. Funds raised are also used to purchase equipment that helps the library stay on the cutting edge and provide the latest technology to the patrons.
