CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Friends of the Library Spring Book sale will open Thursday, April 23 at 4 p.m. with the Friends-only preview until 7 p.m. that evening.
Anyone may join the Friends at the door for as little as $5.
Hundreds of used books from fiction to a myriad of subjects will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the sale go to support the public library. The sale continues for the general public on Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Cumberland Winds Concert Band will bring its Big Band stylings to the atrium of the public library Saturday, April 25 at 1 p.m. The concert will coincide with the final afternoon of the
Friends Book Sale. Please join us for a reminiscence of the days of the Big Band era with this entertaining musical event for the entire family and pick up some great books while you are at the library.
The Cumberland Winds is made up of musicians who play in a variety of groups in diverse venues. Their goal is “to create an environment that fosters music in the greater Cumberland
River area through public concerts, musical support of private events, musical training, and master classes.”
This event is free and open to the public.
