CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Nashville State Community College will host a Disaster Readiness & Emergency Preparedness Day on Tuesday, September 10. September is National Preparedness Month.
This event will be held at the Clarksville campus. It is designed to assist NSCC students and the surrounding community to be prepared if an emergency arises.
Mr. Phillip Barletto, Disaster Program Manager for the American Red Cross, and “Cell Phone Sally” from Montgomery County 911 will be on hand to share information about what can be done to prepare for a disaster and how lives can be saved.
“Hands –Only” CPR will be discussed and attendees can learn how to perform this life-saving act. In addition, free first-aid kits will be handed out, while supplies last.
This is an excellent opportunity for childcare providers to add to their emergency skills.
The Disaster Readiness & Emergency Preparedness Day will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10. This event is free and open to the public.
