CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Montgomery County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) will partner with the Austin Peay State University Nursing Program to offer a Community CPR Class Saturday, September 13.
The class begins at 9 a.m. at the Red Barn on APSU’s campus and will end at noon. The class is free and open to the public. Attendees will learn:
• Adult, child and infant CPR
• Adult, child and infant choking relief techniques
• Use of AED machines
“I applaud the efforts of the EMS staff and APSU nursing students to increase public awareness and safety by offering this class free of charge to the public,” said County Mayor Carolyn Bowers. “Increased public education is a goal of our EMS department and this is an excellent class for citizens of all ages. I encourage the public to take advantage of this opportunity.”
Registration is not necessary, but participants should arrive a few minutes prior to the start time.
