Fredrick Lee Clark, age 78, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022, surrounded by family.

Fred was born December 7,1943, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to the late Robert Ewing and Junera Wakefield Clark. Fred was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Wakefield Clark and John
Mark Clark.

A career small business owner, Fred’s contributions to the City of Clarksville spanned forty-seven years. He and his two brothers Bobby and Mark opened New Providence Furniture Co. in 1967. In 1973, Fred found his own niche outside of furniture, opening the Rug Room, which he owned and operated for forty-one years until his retirement. Fred Clark had a true love for music, from playing instruments in his youth to joining local social dance clubs through the years, with a particular fondness for swing.

Fred is survived by wife, Donna Clark, daughters, Angela Nicole Clark and Meredith Clark McCord (Clay), stepson, Darren Drudy (Sheena), stepdaughters, Deann McCormick and
Michelle Keener (Paul). Grandchildren, James Wakefield McCord, Mary Clark McCord, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren by marriage. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Mary Clark and Aunt, Mary Kathryn Wakefield.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
