CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers is set to open a second location in Clarksville on Tuesday. This one will be in the Sango area at 900 Highway 76, or Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, near Publix.
Founded in Wichita, Kansas, in 2002, the brand offers cooked-to-order steakburgers, all-beef hot dogs, shoestring fries, cheese curds, freshly churned frozen custard treats and more.
New territory
Franchise owner Todd Whitchurch said he is excited to bring Freddy’s to another portion of Clarksville and hopes it will have the same success as the one at 2100 Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
“We’ve truly enjoyed being a part of the Clarksville community — serving fantastic food and frozen custard and also hosting fundraiser nights for local schools and other non-profit organizations,” Whitchurch said in a press release. “We’re excited to enter this dynamic neighborhood and serve guests in the eastern part of town with the same friendly service and great taste they’ve come to love at our first area location on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.”
Whitchurch told Clarksville Now the building has been under construction for several months but was delayed due to ongoing supply chain issues.
“I was actually hoping to be open in July or August,” he said. “It was taking quite a while.”
The 2,711-square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 80 guests and has additional seating on the patio and drive-thru service. Mobile ordering through the Freddy’s app and website is also available.
Fred Heads
Whitchurch told Clarksville Now that the community has been very supportive in terms of embracing the brand.
“The community has really accepted us, and they love Freddy’s. We have plenty of, what you would call, ‘Fred Heads,’ that are very loyal to us and love our product,” he said. “When our guests come in, they can see a difference. We go out and see how they’re doing at the tables. We try to give them the whole experience.”
Freddy’s is a leading fast-casual franchise concept with more than 450 locations across 36 states nationwide. The brand has been named No. 1 on Forbes’ Best Franchises to Buy and No. 59 on Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500.
