Frank Todd Wilson (Todd) passed away peacefully at home within the loving embraces of his family on January 18, 2024.
Todd was born to Gwain Lee Branson Wilson and Frank Wilson on May 2, 1962, in Memphis, TN. He grew up in Clarksville, TN where he attended Barksdale Elementary School, Moore Elementary School, Clarksville Academy, Greenwood Middle School and Clarksville High School (Class of 1980). Upon graduating from high school, Todd attended The University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He was a fraternal member of Phi Sigma Kappa and remained a life -long, die hard Big Orange fan.
After graduating from college, Todd worked for Third National Bank, Provident Life & Accident, Farm Bureau Insurance and Servpro Industries. He was long known for his pleasant interpersonal disposition, his acute business acumen and more importantly, his razor-sharp wit and funny personality. His love of life, baseball, music (specifically playing his guitars), all things Big Orange, Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators and humor were only surpassed by the love and dedication he had for his family and most importantly, his three children.
Todd was known for being a kind, compassionate, sincere, selfless and loving man. These attributes of Todd’s personality and character were demonstrated and tested no clearer than the continuous care he provided to his ailing wife. The personal sacrifices for Candice’s care were as immeasurable as the love, dedication and care with which they were so honorably made.
Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Gwain Lee Branson Wilson, Dr. Frank Wilson and the love of his life, Candice Woody Wilson. He will be deeply missed by his children, Morgan Layne Sophia Wilson, Ava Vanders Lee Wilson and Vanders Franklin Wilson, sister; Darci Lee Wilson, brothers; Dan Wilson (Sheila), Ben Karns (Jennifer) and father’s widow; Crystal Joy Wilson.
The family would like to express our most sincere gratitude to Dr. David Spigel, Dr. Nanette Dendy and Holly Taylor for providing exemplary medical care to Todd and his family. We would like to extend a special thank you to Servpro Industries for their gracious accommodations and continuous outreach to Todd through the years. We would like to also express our heartfelt thanks to his life-long friends and our extended family for all of the love, support, counsel and help you have extended to us during these difficult times.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make donations in Todd’s memory to The Sarah Cannon Research Institute or a charitable organization of your choosing.
