Francis ‘Frank’ Paul Goudard, Sr., 82, of Claksville, TN, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Frank was born on October 22, 1942, in Niskayuna, NY to Frank Joseph Goudard and Christina Anne (Treis) Goudard. In 1962, he joined the United States Army. He had multiple overseas tours that included Korea, Germany and Panama. He served in Vietnam and received multiple service ribbons and medals, Army unit citations, and Army individual citations. After 25 years of service, he retired from active duty. After retiring from the military, he worked for the public transit system for the city of Clarksville and the Opryland Hotel for 7 years. He then worked for the Montgomery County School System (Ringgold Elementary School) for about 10 years before retiring.

Frank enjoyed the outdoors; hunting with his brother in Georgia, mowing yards and chopping wood. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Clarksville. He was very active in the church kitchen and well known for his coffee and donuts on Sunday mornings.

He is survived by his wife, Attalie Goudard of Clarksville, TN; daughter Christina O’Donohoe of LaPorte, TX; son Shawn Goudard of St. Petersburg, FL; and stepdaughter Heather Parker and husband Chris of Woodlawn, TN; grandchildren Josh, Jacob, Nick, Andrew, Xerxes, Seth, Lane and Emily and great grandchildren Cory, Elias, Lily and Oliver. He is also survived by his four sisters Mary Harwood, Jean Herbert (Mike), Joyce Darnell (Rocky), and Denise Fox (Bill); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his son Francis “Frankie” Paul Goudard, Jr. and brother Paul T. Goudard.

A Memorial Service, with full military honors, celebrating his life will be held on January 6, 2025, at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm with the Memorial Service starting at 12:00 pm.
