Frances Powers Potter, 107, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at the Manor House of Dover.
Frances was born on December 19, 1906 in Nashville, TN to the late William Anderson Powers, Jr. and Maud Lollar Powers. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Potter; three sons, Robert “Bob” Potter, John Louis Potter, and William Patrick “Pat” Potter; and two daughters, Virginia Parker and Ruth Ellis.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery, with Pastor Brian Baggett officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.
Frances was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Frances was a descendent of President George Washington’s brother.
Frances is survived by her son, Ted Ross (Patsy) Potter; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Pat Potter, Todd Potter, James Underwood, Howard Parker, Jr., Tom Ellis, and Randy Anthony.
