Frances B. Wooten, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Gateway Medical Center.

Frances was born May 24, 1923 in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Marvin Byron Bumpus and Bessie Bulle Bumpus. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Rodney Bumpus and Lowell Bumpus.

Mrs. Wooten worked for the Civil Service at Fort Campbell for 32 years. She was a member of New Providence United Methodist Church, where she was a part of the Women’s Group. Frances was a graduate of Montgomery Central High School as well as Austin Peay State University, where she a member of the Kappa Delta Pi initiates.

Memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 5 at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Cynthia Talley officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Frances is survived by her husband, William T. Wooten of Clarksville; two sons, Billy Wooten of Clarksville and Jerry T. Wooten of Nashville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Providence United Methodist Church, 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksville, TN 37042.
