CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Fortera Credit Union recently sponsored a financial simulation at Rossview High School for 126 students.
The financial simulation was led by Kayla Sykes, Fortera Training Specialist, and conducted by nine Fortera employees.
In the simulation, students were presented with a professional identity, which included a spouse, a child, credit card debt, and a set income. Learning topics included housing, transportation, childcare, groceries, and other unexpected expenses. Students created a budget to help them learn how to manage their finances.
Students had a highly valuable and engaging experience that would help them as they face future financial decisions in their young adult lives.
