CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Fortera Credit Union recently sponsored a Shred Day event for the community which provided document disposal services for a total of 256 participants at the Lowe’s Drive branch in Clarksville, Tennessee and the Griffin Bell Drive branch in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Everyone was invited to bring any documents considered sensitive to be properly disposed.
“At Fortera Credit Union, it’s our duty to assist members with the proper disposal of personal documents that could potentially expose them to financial harm. This is why we do Shred Day. At the end of the day, it’s all about protecting our members,” said Fortera President/CEO, Tom Kane.
Fortera will continue to provide Shred Day services in order to protect its members and the community from those who intend to exploit the personal data of others. Fortera’s next Shred Day event will be held in the Fall.
Fortera Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned and operated by members, established in 1954.
