Col. David “Buck” Dellinger to become 101st Chief of Staff

Correction: Dellinger to transfer to position with 101st.

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – Col. David “Buck” Dellinger will relinquish command of U.S. Army Garrison Fort Campbell, Ky., to incoming commander Col. James R. Salome.

Col. Dellinger has served as garrison commander of Fort Campbell since 2012. He will remain on active duty at Fort Campbell and has bee selected and appointed to be the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Chief of Staff.

The Change of Command Ceremony will take place in front of Garrison Headquarters located at 39 Normandy Boulevard at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 18

Col. Salome, a Clarksboro, N.J. native and graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, comes to Fort Campbell from The United States Army Forces Command, Fort Bragg, N.C. where he served as Director for the FORSCOM Commander’s Initiatives Group.
