Fort Campbell student saves father’s life

6th grader Holly Widen saved her dad from choking.

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – A 6th grade student at Wassom Middle School on Fort Campbell was recently recognized by Blanchfield Army Community Hospital for saving her father’s life.

In February, Holly Widen performed the Heimlich maneuver on her father, Jeremy Widen, while he was choking.
