CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Fort Campbell Water Treatment Plant has issued a precautionary boil water notice for residents after a finished water storage tank was found to contain a defect.
Citizens are asked to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, or washing dishes. This notice is in effect beginning September 23 and will remain in effect for a minimum of 48 hours while water supplies are tested.
Due to the boil water notice, all Child Development Center Programs to include full-day, part-day, and hourly care will be closed on Tuesday, September 24.
Fort Campbell Schools will operate on a two hour delay on Tuesday, September 24. There will be no a.m. Pre-K. Sack lunches will be available at lunch and bottled water will be provided throughout the day.
