FORT CAMPBELL, KY – The Fort Campbell Historical Foundation board of trustees has announced the addition of five new members. They are Jim Durrett, former mayor of Montgomery County; Maj. Kent Keirsey (USAR), president and co-founder of Acre, in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; Col. (Ret.) Mark Kelly, investor/owner, Keller Williams Realty in Clarksville; Ben Kimbrough Jr., retired banker in Clarksville; and Sgt. 1st Class (Ret.) Joe Maynard, president, JCM Management, also in Clarksville.
“We are thrilled to have these high-level leaders join the Foundation’s board of trustees,” said Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Brian E. Winski, president and CEO of FCHF with 37 years of commanding formations at every echelon within the U.S. Army, as well as engaging in Desert Storm, Afghanistan and Iraq combat operations. “Jim Durrett has been a long-time public servant, and Ben Kimbrough has excelled in business for decades. Kent Keirsey, Mark Kelly and Joe Maynard are all exceptional military leaders, as well as successful entrepreneurs who have built reputable businesses.”
In addition to Winski, other trustees continuing to serve on the FCHF board are Lt. Col. (Ret) Peter C. Kinney III, FCHF board of trustees chairman; Col. (Ret) Jonathan B. Hunter, COO, FCHF; Lt. Gen. (Ret) Michael L. Oates, FCHF senior strategic partner; Lori Harper, northern division vice president, Rogers Group Inc.; Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, president, American Osteopathic Foundation; William S. Stuard, president and CEO, F&M Bank; and Ralph J. Schulz, president and CEO, Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
“The new board members are patriotic Americans who believe in the Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum and its goal to educate, honor and inspire,” Kinney said. “They’ve all had remarkable careers, and we appreciate their assistance in promoting the Foundation and its mission.”
Astride the Kentucky-Tennessee border, Fort Campbell is home to the largest concentration of Army aviation in the country, including the 101st Airborne Division, the 5th Special Forces Group and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. Since 1992, the Fort Campbell Historical Foundation has worked to honor the courage and sacrifice of soldiers who call Fort Campbell home. The Tennessee Wings of Liberty Museum will provide an immersive educational experience impressing on future generations the importance of public service and inspiring others to give back.
