FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – On Wednesday, September 12, the Department of Defense Education Activity and Fort Campbell Emergency Services will conduct an emergency lock down and emergency response rehearsal drill at Fort Campbell High School.
The rehearsal will involve students and faculty and is designed to minimize disruption of scheduled classroom time.
Officials say there will be no impact to the community. In case of a real emergency, please call 911.
The drill will test the overall emergency action plan and include lock down procedures, neutralizing a simulated threat, establishing exterior security, and reporting.
According to Fort Campbell officials, emergency response drills are conducted regularly in post schools to ensure the safety and security of students, teachers and staff.
This is the first exercise to allow both DoDEA and Fort Campbell’s Emergency Services to train together.
