CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Fort Campbell High School football team held a uniform reveal for the 2024 season, unveiling over 20 uniform combinations for the Falcons this fall. This reveal sent a message from the program, this isn’t the same team from years’ past.
Last season, the Falcons had their best record in over a decade, compiling a record of 5-6 and finishing as the district runner up in 2A District 2. They picked up marquee wins along the way, including their wins against Fort Knox in the Army Bowl, and Northwest in their season opener.
“We want to capitalize off last season,” said Fort Campbell head coach Henry Mitchell. “We want to compete, we want to be aggressive, and we want to be disciplined. You will see a balanced attack from the Falcons this fall.”
Leading the show for the Falcon offense will be junior quarterback Jacaryous Perryman. A major motivating factor for him, is the losses that the team took last year.
“We’re coming back stronger because we want our revenge,” Perryman told Clarksville Now. “We lost a lot of games we probably shouldn’t have lost, so we need to execute. The offense will come back better.”
Fort Campbell’s season ended last year when they fell in the first round of the playoffs to Murray High School. Now, with the program looking to take the next step, they aren’t only aiming to win the district, but to advance in the postseason as well.
“We want to win the district and get out of the first round of the playoffs,” Mitchell said. “Our message to the team is to be more disciplined and more physical. When it comes down to it, that’s the essence of football, and that’s how you win games.”
