CLARKSVILLE, TN – The Fort Campbell High School Marshall Patterson Athletic Hall of Fame has honored the newest inductees to the FCHS Athletics Hall of Fame as members of the Class of 2023. This induction class has a total of 17 individual KHSAA Track Championship Titles, combination of Football, Cross Country and Track 20 KHSAA Team Championships, 5 athletic DI college scholarships. 5 NCAA Athletes, 2 NFL players, 1 retired Brigadier General and 1 humanitarian who donated his body to science to future research on melanoma cancer.
Introducing FCHS Marshall Patterson Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2023:
Coach Lee Lange led his teams to ten State Championships and was inducted into the Kentucky Cross Country and Track Hall of Fame in 1990.
Ricky Gibbs (retired) Brigadier General led FCHS to its first football state championship.
Debra McLemore Duffy was a triple threat athlete, who was part of the 5-state championship powerhouse in cross country and track from 1979-1982, all Kentucky New Era and an honorable mention in basketball. Duffy still holds the school and Kentucky State Class A 400m record with a time of 57.10. She earned a track scholarship to University of Louisville.
David Peyton, another triple threat, was 1st Class AA, football team, district basketball and track earning a football scholarship to University of Missouri.
Shekera Weston Thomas was one of the great track and field athletes to come out of Fort Campbell High School. Shekera holds the KHSAA record for Class AA with a time of 55.46; she went on to be a standout track athlete at Clemson and was inducted into their hall of fame in 2014.
Micah Johnson was 2005’s Kentucky Mr. Football. Micah was part of 2 football state championships, played for the University of Kentucky, played in the NFL and is currently playing in the CFL.
Antonio Andrews, Kentucky Mr. Football, quarterback who led the undefeated FCHS to 2 state championships, played at Western Kentucky University and for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL.
