Clarksville, Tenn. – The Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union, (FCFCU), celebrated 60 years of serving the community Monday, September 22 with a reception at their main office at 2050 Lowe’s Drive. Staff, FCFCU members, and local community officials gathered to honor the long history of the business.
Tom Kane, President and CEO said FCFCU began when it was chartered in September of 1954 by ten civil service employees at Fort Campbell coming together and for many of those early years working as volunteers because there were no paid employees.
Kane also talked about how of FCFCU has grown over the years. ”It’s been 60 years of success of serving the community and the military. We’ve had tremendous growth, tremendous success, we have a great staff here and we’re serving about 50,000 members with $480 million in assets,” said Kane.
He recognized some of the company’s employees for their many years of service and also thanked FCFCU members for their patronage. Bill Harpel, Chief of Administration for the City of Clarksville presented Kane with a proclamation from the City and from the Tennessee State Senate.
