FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Fort Campbell warrant officer community recently commemorated the past 103 years of its rank.

A birthday celebration was held by warrant officers across Fort Campbell on Friday, July 9. A commemorative run, recital of the history of the Army warrant officer, leader development courses, lunch social and cake-cutting ceremonies were held in honor of the anniversary.

From the time of the Mine Planter Service, warrant officers have encompassed 17 branches and have held 67 specialties spanning active component, National Guard and the U.S Army Reserve.
