NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Former Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck has been charged with driving under the influence, according to Metro police.

WKRN News 2 reports that Metro officers responded to a single-vehicle accident on I-65 South near Armory Drive Tuesday morning.

According to an affidavit obtained by News 2, Bulluck drove his vehicle off the right side of the road, just before 3 a.m., striking a light pole before coming to a stop in the tree line.

Officers responding to the scene found Bulluck alone outside of his vehicle.

Police noticed a “distinct smell of an alcoholic beverage” on him when he spoke, along with red and watery eyes, and slurred speech. He was also described as “uneasy on his feet.”

Bulluck told officers he had two beers at a Midtown bar and complied with a field sobriety test.

During the test officers reported that he “showed numerous indicators that he was intoxicated.”

When asked on a scale of one to 10 how intoxicated he would rate himself with 10 being the highest level of intoxication, Bulluck reportedly rated himself a three.

After being read the implied consent law multiple times, he told officers that he did not understand and refused to sign.

He was asked to give a blood sample but he refused the test. He was taken into custody without incident.

Bond for Bulluck was set at $5,000 and he is set to appear in court on March, 24, 2016.
