CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A former Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputy was arrested Thursday night on drug charges.

Michael King was booked into the Montgomery County Jail for possession of over 24 grams of marijuana and 120 dihydrocodeine pills.

According to MCSO Public Information Officer Sandra Brandon, King was terminated in February of this year following an indictment on charges of statutory rape.

Sheriff John Fuson’s officials issued the following statement:

“It is our duty and responsibility to uphold the law, regardless of who breaks it.”

King has bonded out of jail.
