OAK GROVE, Ky. – A former police officer in Oak Grove, Ky. could face the death penalty for a 1994 double murder case.
The Kentucky New Era reports that Commonwealth’s Attorney Lynn Prior filed a notice of intent to seek the death penalty for 43-year-old Edward Carter.
Edward Carter and Leslie Duncan, another former officer, are among three men charged in the 1994 slayings at the New Life Massage Parlor in Oak Grove.
The victims, 22-year-old Candace Belt and 18-year-old Gloria Ross, were shot and stabbed to death.
