CLARKSVILLE, TN – Former Miss Clarksville Brittani Mays recently organized a community-wide book drive, collecting nearly 1,000 books for Title I elementary schools in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The effort was aimed at increasing access to quality reading materials for students who need them most.
The initiative was made possible through the generosity of local businesses and community supporters. Bo Society & Books, a Christian bookstore, and Khairos Coffee partnered in the drive, serving as collection sites and rallying their customers to contribute.
The campaign also received strong encouragement from the local School Board and retired teachers’ association, with Board Member Carol Berry offering her support to help ensure the books reached the students who would benefit most.
“This book drive shows what can happen when our community comes together for a shared purpose,” said Mays. “These books will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children across our schools.”
