CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A former jail deputy with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office has been indicted by the grand jury for sexual misconduct charges.

According to the indictment, Dale Tuel, 50, has been charged with official misconduct and sexual contact with an inmate.

Tuel was hired as an employee at the jail on August, 29, 2016, and was terminated on September 1, 2017.

“Tuel was placed on administrative leave when allegations first surfaced,” Sheriff Fuson told ClarksvilleNow. “Our internal investigation found sufficient enough evidence to terminate his employment and secure a Grand Jury indictment,” he added.

Tuel was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Friday, February 9, 2018. His bond was set $25,000.
