Contributed commentary by Dent Morriss, Deputy District Attorney General, retired, Springfield:

Neil Stauffer will bring leadership to the District Attorney’s Office. He led the team of attorneys at the Prosecutor’s Office at Fort Campbell, and we will be fortunate to have him do so in Robertson and Montgomery Counties.

After Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, our two counties form one of the largest population centers in Tennessee. The DA’s Office is a busy place. Neil brings with him his vast experience, his vision for the future, his upright conduct and his goals: Honor to the Constitution, to victims of crime and to impartial justice. His three-part internal action plan will put the District Attorney’s Office to work for the citizens of Robertson and Montgomery Counties and make our communities safer.

Neil has campaigned across our two counties, from Woodlawn to White House. since announcing his campaign and will be a district attorney general that will work for all the citizens of our community. As it was my recent privilege to serve as a prosecutor in the same office Neil now seeks, it is indeed an honor and a pleasure to endorse him as our next district attorney general. I invite you to join me in voting for him.
