CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency will offer a Commodity Distribution from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church’s Family Life Center at 1410 Golf Club Lane.
The distribution includes food, toiletries, and other necessities.
Recertification will be conducted on this day. Each client will need to provide proof of their gross monthly income or provide proof of eligibility for Food Stamps, Families First, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Residence in Public Housing, or Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) in order to receive commodities.
Anyone wishing to pick up commodities for someone else will be required to submit a signed permission slip along with one of the previously mentioned documentation.
Commodities are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only one distribution per household. The program is available to all eligible recipients regardless of race, color, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.
This project is funded under an agreement with The Department of Agriculture. The Clarksville/Montgomery County Community Action Agency is funded 20% State, 63% Federal and 17% local contributions.
