CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – F&M Bank has announced a multi-generational approach to financial literacy by adding a new program aimed at teens in middle and high school to their online education offerings.
The F&M Financial Tools online resource page will now include a series of digital lessons designed specifically for 7th to 12th grade students. The five digital lessons were created by EVERFI, F&M Bank’s partner in financial education.
Each mobile-friendly lesson covers important financial topics including savings, investing, income, debt and more. F&M Bank is the first financial institution in the state of Tennessee to offer this program.
“We are very excited to improve the Online Education Center on our website to attract middle and high school students. Due to changes in instructional methods, we felt the need to provide a virtual approach to assist in financial literacy,” Macy Mayfield, F&M Bank marketing communication specialist, said in a news release.
“Our kickoff will be during the Tennessee Bankers Association’s annual Financial Literacy Week (April 5-10, 2021). In addition to the online resource, we have scheduled activities throughout the markets we serve. We are very excited to receive feedback from students,” Mayfield continued.
