Floyd Ewell Woodall, age 79, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born June 11, 1936, in Clarksville, TN.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 20, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Robertson and Bro. James Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 19, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Wednesday, January 20, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Floyd was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Marvin “Dick” and Pearline Nicholson Woodall; and sister, Cornice Jerles.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shelby Jean Slate Woodall; four children, Rex (Mary) Woodall of Mississippi, Mike (Theresa) Woodall of Clarksville, Kim (Rich) Byers of Alabama, and Karen Woodall of Clarksville; brother, Ronald (Kitty) Woodall of Clarksville; and sister, Florence (Frank) Luppe of Clarksville.
Floyd’s grandchildren are Stephanie Woodall Hernandez, Whitley Jean Woodall Roberts, Laura Lea Woodall, Brandon Wayne Woodall, Dalton Ewell Woodall, Jay Byers, Justin Byers, Jenny Sanders, Michael Castle, Jamey Castle, and Jeromy Castle. His great grandchildren are Hannah Randall, Natalie Randall, Matthew Hernandez, Gavin Roberts, Joseph Swan, Carleigh Swan, Bailey Harbison, Taylor Harbison, Mallory Woodall, Kailee Woodall, Deegan Woodall, Blythe Castle, Emma Castle, Thomas Castle, Mary Parish Castle, Jasper Castle, and two great grandbabies to be.
Floyd was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He was retired from Trane Company and Eastland Green Golf Course.
Pallbearers will be Stephanie Hernandez, Laura Woodall, Brandon Woodall, Dalton Woodall, Justin Byers, Jamey Castle, Bro. Ronald Woodall, and Jay Byers. Honorary pallbearers will be Whitley Woodall Roberts, Michael Castle, Jeromy Castle, Rick Kinney, Jim Richardson, and Howard Hill.
