CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – With more rain expected the Flood Watch issued Wednesday continues through Thursday evening at 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service says grounds will become increasingly saturated as rain falls and localized flood problems could develop. Some of the heaviest rains are expected to occur Thursday.

Storm totals for the period extending through Thursday are forecast to range mostly between one to three inches.

Increased runoff during times of heaviest rain could cause localized flooding, as well as rapid rises in smaller creeks and streams. Rises along larger rivers are also possible later in the week.
