CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Flood Watch is in effect for Montgomery County, beginning noon Wednesday through Saturday night.
Two separate weather systems will bring moderate to heavy rainfall into Middle TN this week. The first will be Wednesday and Thursday, and a second this weekend. Between the two systems, 3 to 5 inches of rainfall will be possible for areas within the watch.
With grounds already saturated and area rivers and streams in flux due to previous rains, both river flooding and flooding outside rivers will be a big concern throughout this week.
The rain expected to clear by Sunday. Temperatures throughout the week will range from the low 50s to low 70s.
The city of Clarksville has already closed some area parks and boat ramps due to previous rainfall. These areas are closed until further notice:
* Liberty Park including Freedom Point and the Liberty BCycle Station
* Clarksville Marina
* McGregor Park And Trice Landing Boat Ramps
* Clarksville Greenway southern portion extending from Pollard Road toward the water treatment plant
