Flood Warning extended as Cumberland hovers near flood stage

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Though the Cumberland River at Clarksville has fallen below flood stage the National Weather Service has extended a Flood Warning through 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

The river is expected to hover around flood stage as showers develop Thursday through Saturday.

Weather service forecasters say rain amounts are expected to be around a half inch over several days and will not likely make flood conditions worse.
