CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Flood Advisory continues for the Cumberland River at Clarksville affecting Montgomery County

Water levels will remain high along the Cumberland River over the next few days.

Additional rainfall later this week may cause further rises, so those with interests along the river should continue to monitor the water levels in case action is needed.

At 5:30 am Tuesday, the river was at 41.17 feet or Action Stage, when low lying areas along the river, including agricultural areas, access points, and portions of Riverfront Park on North Riverside Dr. begin to be inundated.

Rainfall is expected to return Wednesday through Friday, falling on already saturated grounds unable to absorb much more.
