CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – After 20 years in Beaver Country, it’s time for Fletch to hit the Grand Ole Opry.

Greg “Fletch” Fletcher’s last day on the air with the “Fletch and Mandy Show” will be today, April 1. He’s going to work for Gaylord Entertainment at The Grand Ole Opry.

Fletch has been with Beaver 100.3 for almost 20 years, 15 of those as the morning host.

“Fletch has been such a fixture here in Beaver Country, and we certainly wish him the best. He will be missed, especially those funny stories he loves to share,” said 5 Star Media Group Program Director Mike Sanders.

Meet Chris Brooks

Stepping into Fletch’s storied shoes will be Chris Brooks, joining co-host Mandi Michaels on April 4 for the new show “Chris and Mandi in the Morning.”

Chris, born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, is moving here with his fiancée and their daughter. Chris is a proud daddy and you might see him getting into trouble at the nearest Walmart for playing with toys in the aisle.

“As a family, we love getting up on a Saturday morning and going somewhere local for breakfast,” he said. “If I ever get any ‘me’ time, I love to watch professional wrestling, a good documentary on Netflix like ‘Tiger King,’ or just staring at my phone endlessly watching TikTok.”

They are moving here from North Carolina.

“I have traveled the country for 10 years doing radio. Everyone has something bad to say about almost every state, but you never hear anything bad about Tennessee,” he said. “Once my family and I pulled into Clarksville, met the people (everyone was so friendly), we knew this is where we wanted to be.

“Plus, Mandi Michaels is a seasoned vet. She’s traveled a bit and understands this business. It will be nice to work alongside someone who wants to make great, local radio.”

So, what can listeners expect on the new “Chris and Mandi in the Morning” show?

“This show is going to be something Clarksville has never heard before. All laughs, all the time. We will make you forget you are on your way to work or dropping the kids off at school,” Chris said. “It’s going to be loud; I will tell you that much. Mandi and I are from the Midwest, all we know how to do is be loud.”

“Chris and Mandi in the Morning” airs 5-10 a.m. Monday-Friday on Beaver 100.3.
