CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Beaver in the mornings has a new co-host joining the team, to create the “Fletch and Mandi” show.

Everything started today, featuring Beaver 100.3’s beloved Fletch and introducing Mandi Michaels.

Mandi Michaels

Mandi got her start with a morning show at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, on the student radio station WCRD. Since then, she’s worked at radio stations in Indiana and Iowa, doing midday shows, promotions and other roles.

Mandi has a passion for Big Brothers Big Sisters, an organization that helped her as a child after the death of her parents, and she’s still close to her Big Sister.

“I talk to her every single day, and she’s my mother/sister/friend, so I owe a lot to the organization,” she said.

Mandi grew up on country music. Throughout her career she’s found that with country more than with any other type of music, it’s personal. “Country artists are very appreciative, they’re real, and they want to want to meet fans,” she said.

The great thing about country radio is that it can help connect the artists with the fans, and it allows her and Fletch to share stories and connect with local listeners.

“I believe God put me on this earth for a purpose, and I feel like through radio, it was to give back.”

She said listeners can expect a lot of fun conversation, as she and Fletch come at things from different perspectives. “He’s the family man, I’m the single girl: dating and having dating mishaps, and getting in the wrong people’s cars. …”

Tune in for more on that story.

Fletch has been with 5 Star Media Group for 20 years, and he’s been doing the Beaver morning show for the last 10 of those.

“She is a great story teller,” Fletch said of Mandi. “The energy that she brings and the passion for the business and the craft is amazing – she’s got it in spades.”

Fletch and Mandi: The Beaver Country Morning Show airs 5-9 a.m. Monday-Friday on Beaver 100.3.
