CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through 7:00 pm for middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.
Periods of showers and thunderstorms with heavy downpours could cause flash flooding across Middle Tennessee.
1 to 4 inch amounts have been common so far. Another 1 to 3 inches will fall through today, but locally greater rainfall totals are likely.
Locations most likely to be impacted include streets, low lying areas, poor drainage areas, and along small creeks and streams. The heavy downpours could cause water levels to rise very quickly.
