CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The First Christian Church Food Room will be open from 10:30 to noon today.
“Normally when the schools are closed due to weather, we are also closed,” said Mickey Faires, Food Room Co-Chair. “Because we were already closed last Tuesday, we feel many people in Clarksville are in need of food especially with the kids home,” he said.
Faires said the pantry is open to any Montgomery County resident. “There is no charge, no questions asked, no paperwork other than their name, address, and how many in their family.”
On average, the pantry feeds 102 families per week. The pantry is open every Tuesday during the same hours.
