CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Dry weather and strong winds coming Thursday have Montgomery and surrounding counties under a Fire Weather Watch.
The watch is in effect from late Thursday morning to Thursday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
South winds of 10 to 20 mph are expected, with gusts up to 30 mph. Relative humidity will be only 18% to 22%.
“Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly,” the NWS said. “Outdoor burning is not recommended.”
